IMPACT GROUP TRAINING (104)

Maybe God has called or inspired you to lead an Impact Group.  At TLC Impact Groups play a vital role in the growth of our church.  Impact Groups help us to grow as Disciples of Christ as we connect with one another in healthy and growing relationships. Understanding some of the basic dynamics of group life can help us build dynamic Impact Groups and avoid some common mistakes.  In this training you will learn how to effectively lead an Impact Group.  Some of the topics covered are: What is the vision and purpose of the Impact Group ministry at TLC? What should a healthy and growing Impact Group look like?  What is the Leaders role as an Impact Group leader?  What tools will you need to serve in this role? How does the group fit into the larger TLC vision?  Prerequisites: Must complete Vision First 101, Core Essentials 102 and New Discovery 103.

THE DREAM TEAM (105)

You are growing in Christ and you have discovered your gifts, talents and purpose–now you feel ready to become actively involved in the church ministry at TLC.  The Dream Team is a quarterly training and strategy event for all active Leaders and their Leadership Teams.  As part of the Dream Team you will learn about the ongoing strategies of TLC to fulfill the Great commission to reach our community with the life changing gospel of Jesus Christ.  Learn how you can take an active role on the ground level of building the ministries of TLC as we advance the Kingdom together!  Prerequisites: Must complete Vision First 101, Core Essentials 102, New Discovery 103, Impact Group Training 104 and be involved as a Leader or part of a Leadership Team.

LEADER SHIFT ADVANCED LEADERSHIP TRAINING (106)

This is a six (6) week Advanced Leadership Training course for leaders who wish to further develop their leadership skills.  This course is also a prerequisite for all ministry candidates who wish to be considered for Phase Three: Pastoral Ministry Mentorship Program.  Some of the topics covered include:  What is a Leader? Discovering Leadership Differences.  The Leaders Integrity. Conflict Resolution. The Leader’s Vision. Vision Killers. Building Leadership Teams. Characteristics of a Growing Team. Skills for Preaching & Teaching. Entrance into this course is by application and invitation only. Requirements for this class are as follows:

• A current and active relationship with Christ. (Prayer life and Bible study)
• An active and committed member of TLC.
• A tither and a giver.
• A servant’s heart and a lover of people.
• A submissive heart to the Vision & Leadership at TLC.
• Actively involved in some form of ministry or service at TLC. (Impact Group involvement or in active planning for leadership assignment).
• Successful completion of Vision First 101, Core Essentials 102, New Discovery 103, Impact Group Training 104, Dream Team 105 and be involved as a Leader or part of a Leadership Team.
• Completion of Online Application.
• A commitment to participate in class discussions, prayer times and completion of at home assignments. (One page essays based on questions and leadership challenges. Some research will be required)
